Beyond Light and Sound

As we move deeper into the meditation on inner Light and Sound, there comes a subtle shift. In the beginning, the visions and sounds feel like wondrous discoveries: colors, shapes, melodies, vibrations that awaken awe within us. Yet, as the path unfolds, we begin to notice something even greater — that all these experiences are but gateways, leading us into the vastness of our own being.

The Light becomes more than just colors or patterns; it dissolves into a radiant presence that has no form and no boundary. The Sound becomes more than tones or melodies; it reveals itself as a current of silence that embraces everything. What once appeared as experiences within us now feels like the very ground of reality itself — timeless, spacious, alive.

In this stage, meditation is less about seeking and more about allowing. The effort to “see” or “hear” falls away and what remains is a natural abiding in awareness itself. Here, the mind cannot enter, for there are no concepts to grasp. There is only presence — luminous, resonant, infinite.

Some traditions describe this as the point where the soul begins to merge back into its source. Others call it awakening, self-realization or union with the divine. Words hardly capture it, for what is found here is beyond description. Yet its fragrance is unmistakable: profound peace, unshakable love and a sense of being held by something greater than the self we once thought we were.

Meditating on the inner Light and Sound is not about chasing extraordinary experiences. It is about following the thread of awareness back to its source — where Light, Sound and Silence are one. And in that oneness, we discover who we truly are.
